Who remembers this Disney Classic?
Apparently I don’t. At all!!! I mean I remember bits and pieces of the movie, like when Merlin turned the young Arthur future King of England (nicknamed the Wart by his older foster brother Kay) into a fish, then later a bird, and a squirrel. And how there was a girl squirrel that fell in love with Arthur as a squirrel. And how sad and devastated the girl squirrel was when Merlin turned him back into a boy. I also remember the wizard’s duel between Merlin and Madam Mim and how he pulled the sword from the stone because he had left Kay’s sword (for the tournament) at the inn but since everyone was at the tournament the in was locked shut, and how the owl (Archimedes) pointed out the sword in the stone in the church courtyard.
The thing that I don’t remember was how much of an anti-climax the ending for the movie was!!! It was so frustrating… I felt as if somehow someone had cut the reel so abrupt was the ending! I was like “That’s it???” (using my inner voice of course since Zaki was working last night and Sara had already gone to bed by then. I’m not so crazy to be talking out loud to myself… not yet anyway!) and I felt so tak puas that I decided to watch another movie. So I watched “Awake” you know the one with Jessica Alba and Hayden Christiansen. I knew that the story was about how during his heart surgery Clay (Hayden’s character) could feel every thing and I knew that the surgeons were actually plotting to kill him for his money, but it didn’t occur to me that she (Jessica Alba) was involved in the plot as well. Now that I think about it of course la she had to be in on the plan because it’s not very bloody likely that Clay would give his wealth to his surgeon/best friend la kan? It only makes sense that his money would go to his “grieving” widow right? I must say I quite enjoyed Jessica Alba in a bad person role. It’s refreshing to see her being bad instead of sugary sweet like the way she is in the first few minutes of the movie. Like she is in all her movies. And it was way satisfying to see the police throwing her on the floor and cuffing her in the end. Hahaha…….
In other news Sha Sha asked me to take the "Which Spongbob character are you?" quiz and against my better judgement I did... Results: I'm Gary!! Yay... the only non-selfish, non-stupid, non-annoying character in the whole show...
