It's simple: there are people on my flist whose journals I never read. Why? Well, I don't know much about them, and the things they say tend to not interest me. And I know it's the other way around, too: I'm on some people's flists, and they couldn't care any less about me. That was made clear to me when I posted
This Huge Announcement about me, and even though I got replies from people, there were some others from which I expected something and got nothing. I mean, it *was* something huge, after all. But don't worry; it's not as if I'm hurt or anything, really. It made me realise that some people had better things to do, or simply didn't care that much about me. It's fine; that's the way life is, after all; nothing to be resentful about.
So, what I propose in this post is simple: if you want me in your flist, please post a comment here. If you don't mind being taken off, then don't post. I'm gonna go through the comments and sort people out after a while, at my discretion. The reason behind this is very simple: I'm the kind of person who prefers to have a few, but significant, friends, instead of a collection of acquaintances. After all, this isn't MySpace, so there's no point in collecting friends to brag about the size of our mutual friends list, is it?
Go on, comment then. Or not. I'll be watching, and please, be honest with me and, more importantly, with yourself. :)
