Free $$ inside!
I just heard a girl talking about really cheap sushi and going up to a place in Richmond to get it when I was walking back from class. For some reason it really pissed me off because I don't want other people knowing about it, but that's kind of impossible.
Speaking of, we need to get a group to go up there again sometime.
Last weekend we had the One-be-Low hip hop show at Western. It was really good! There were actually a lot more people there than I expected because Del was playing at the nightlight the same night! Anyway, I really like him as a M.C. because not only can he flow but he's really personable and funny. He connects with his audience with his lyrics and his body language/personality. Those are the true talented poets that really know what its all about.
That inspired some crazy hip-hop-athon at the Dawg pound.... uhhhh.
The next day was the Comedy show with Mike Berbiglia. I wish I could see stand up like that everyweekend because there is something about the energy of seeing a live show that you can't get from the t.v. We met up with Aaron and Melissa there and tried to get a bunch of my friends to go to the show but they were all being losers. They do the same thing every weekend, sit at home, get drunk or high or both and the pass out. Basically be boring idiots. That might sound a little harsh but I like a little variety in my life but I still want to hang out with my friends, its just hard to get them to do anything.
Anyways it was fun to hang out with Alex, Keith, Joe, Jill, Derek, Rose, John and Eric all weekend. Went to Mallard afterwards and had some delicious sorbet and them played some O.G.
So my week currently has basically consisted of this:
Monday- study group, turn in resumes
Tuesday- midterm
Wednesday- study group, register for summer classes
Thursday- midterm, band practice
today- take home midterm/essays due and another 6 page essay due.
FUCK THAT! HELLO MONTANA!
