Since I've been done for the quarter I've been having an ridiculously good time. Wednesday Andrea, Mindy, Eric, Jim, Joe and Matt all went out to celebrate being done with finals. Eric and I started a little early which we rarely do, so that made an interesting night. First we went to Archer Ale house and had a few pitchers, but since the place was dead and there kitchen was closed we ended up going to Boundry Bay. I haven't been that tipsy in a long time, and it was blue-grass night, and they had delicious pretzels. Mmmm. For some reason we went to Apple Bee's after all the partying and I decided to get a perfect martini. I thought all you got was the small glass and not the entire shaker, but I was wrong! That was stupid. Eric was the funniest thing I saw that night.
Thursday Eric and I hung out with Keith and went to Rudy's. That dude is so cool. We have lots of nerdy conversations about music, people, movies, and reading material. After we chilled at his house and watched "Jarhead". I thought it was an intersting movie because its different from all other war movies.
Friday I was giddy all day. It marked 3-years of bliss. No really, Eric and I are really happy and I always feel new with him. We had a fun day exploring Seattle and visiting Pikes place. He took me out to a little resturant that was hidden away and was absolutely marvolous! I hurt from smiling so much that night. Seattle has some really cute places.
We also saw The Dave Chappelle's Block Party at Pacific place and it was so cool. All I can say is "pussy hole". What? you have to see it.
Saturday was spent spring cleaning my apartment. It was nice because I had the place to myself for a couple of days and could get really organized. I scrubed, vaccumed and cleaned everything. It felt really good. Afterwards I got some fresh air outside by jogging. Eric and I have been going to the gym together too and thats really fun to motivate (and compliment) each other. haha.
Since schools been out I've been able to not only clear out and organize my apartment but also my thoughts. I've caught up with old friends and made connections with family that I sort of lose during intense school times. I think I'm starting to get ahold of this balancing thing. Now I want to find a job on top of my work-study job, so I can have one for the summer.
Saturday Dragline had a show at the Bay St. Coffee house. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and there was a shit ton of people there. I was glad a bunch of our friends came out to see us because it made me more comfortable playing. I love music, I don't know what I would do without it. Afterwards we went to a sweet celebration of Aaron and a bunch of other people (Aaron k, Lauren, and David) who graduated this quarter. It was a BLAST! I was so glad Joey-O, Keith and Derek came over so we could have some rager fooseball games and killer kareoke that Eric impressed me so much by singing "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra! Wheww.
I was so tired but we got up early the next day to pack and to take off to go down south. We made a bunch of stops along the way like a vegan doughnut place called Mighty-O's that puts Krispy Kreams to shame. Later we went to Dirty Dave's Pizza in Lacey and went to the new multi-cinema plex that I had not yet been to. We saw "V for Vendetta" and I recommend it to everyone. It was really inspiring and had a lot of parallels to todays problems. Eric left later to go back to Tacoma and see his family and I got hang out with my younger brother and sister. My parents were in Arizona visiting my grandparents so it was just us and it was a lot of fun.
This morning I took my bro to school so I could have the car and went jogging afterwards. We have this hill by our house that is killer! Its so funny because I always run into people I know when I'm out excercising. My neighbors and such ask me how I'm doing, blah, blah. I guess its nice that they care but its always a little awkward.
I even made myself breakfest this morning... I think I'm becoming really fond of cooking and gardening. Later I got to drive around Olympia and visit the co-ops (which are waaay different and smaller than Bellingham's)and dropped off some stuff at Goodwill.
It has bee such a wonderful spring break already, I don't know if it can get any better. Tomorrow I'm going to go to Otto's with my sister and check out Dumpster Values (a vintage clothing store) because I guess they remodeled and later drive up to see Eric and got see Ghost Face Killa in Seattle. I'm so excited!
I'm also pumped to see my sister and stay with her later in the week. I haven't hung out with that hip, sweet, lady in a long time!
Whoohoo.
Peace~
