What with the right hand's hampered recovery, and the left arm's cast, my keeping up to date in all the places I seem to have journals has been more than I could handle.

Having said that, I've also been quite the hermit recently.

I've been enjoying Kate Forsyth's Witches of Eileanan universe, which I've backed into by reading the last three books

I love that book series - I have first editions! The author is Australian.

And a few years ago some friends and I recorded a CD of the songs the jongleurs sing... Hilary went mad with the research, because a lot of the folk songs Forsyth uses are real. And oddly enough, I asked them about a copy of it just the other day...

You're only the third person I've met who knows about this series; it's probably 'cause she's Australian. I'm thoroughly enjoying them, and I think her cross-breeding is a terribly clever idea.

Okay, so I'm at the part where Isabeau is on trial, and I'm really hoping it was Dide who saw her being carted through the village. If I could reach the fingers on my left hand, I'd be biting them!

So I wasn't terribly good yesterday or the day before, which is why I've been a little slow in responding. But I'm rested this morning, so you're among my first bits of typing for the day.
