One Thing and Another

What with the right hand's hampered recovery, and the left arm's cast, my keeping up to date in all the places I seem to have journals has been more than I could handle.

Having said that, I've also been quite the hermit recently.

I've been enjoying Kate Forsyth's Witches of Eileanan universe, which I've backed into by reading the last three books first. (Have I talked about this before? I can't remember.) The characters are intriguing, if a little standard at first, but the world building is spectacular.

I re-read Kate Elliot's Jaran which has long been a favorite for its very human protagonist, and the, again, spectacular world building. I suspect half the reason I love fantasy is the world building. It was also my favorite aspect of Jean Auel's prehistoric epic (although I couldn't stomach the last book.)

I trust you're all well, and now, I've managed my 'some typing' for the day, and I'm going to crawl into bed.
