Well my night last night was...mediocre

Started out by getting stuck in traffic while trying to get to The Pavilion now renamed the Hard Rock Pavilion formerly Journal Pavilion to see Tim McGraw in concert. I am not a country fan but I love Tim McGraw. Idling while sitting on a 6-7% grade...not good for engines. As we were pulling into the parking lot my temp gauge went red meaning my car was overheating. No prob I thought since it was going to be parked for the next 4-5 hours.

Get into the concert, go to the bathroom to find that half the stalls were out of commission and the other half were well on their way to backing up. Awesome. But I had to pee so I braved it. Lady Antebellum opened and they were fabulous. Then a bunch of drunk people sat next to us and invaded my personal space. One guy tried to grind against me. Now if it had been a hot cowboy...I would have been all hell yeah. But it was a drunk douchbag so he got an elbow to the gut. 2 seconds longer and I would have decked him. Then they kept switching places and one guy said I needed a beer. I was like...hell no. One girl was nice and kept apologizing for their behavior. Finally they left.

After that I had a great time. Tim puts on an excellent show and he has a very talented group of musicians backing him. I even knew a few songs they played and I really enjoyed the show.

Leaving the show we sat in the parking lot for a good half hour before I even started my car to leave. Didn't take long since most of the traffic had left. However driving home my check engine light came on. Luckily it was near my exit so I thought I could make it. Nope...got off the freeway to a stoplight and my car died and started to spew greasy brown smoke. Few minutes later a cop came up behind me and gave me a push to a gas station out of traffic. And when I say push I don't mean we physically pushed my car...he used his cop car to move it...bumper to bumper. It was a bit of a trick to do so since I had no power steering but we made it.

Course calling my insurance was a chore since every option I chose wanted me to buy new insurance. Finally was able to get to roadside assistance...where they could find no record of our membership. *headdesk* Then they asked for my DADs SSN. Ummmm...no clue and he is on vacation right now. Finally they were able to find it and it took a tow truck 40 minutes to get there after I was told it would only take 20-30. Did I mention I had to pee again? Luckily the driver was nice and professional and they sent a flatbed out first time so kudos to them.

Now my car is sitting outside my mechanics waiting for them to open in the morning. My dad is going to love getting that phonecall..."my car is dead and at the shop". Luckily I have a good mechanic who works magic....expensive magic but it's magic.

So my night wasn't all bad...great concert...drunk idiots and a broken car. What else can go wrong right? *knocks on wood*
