Wow Dictionary

As some of you may remember, I wrote a World of Warcraft Dictionary for my History of the English Language final paper about a year ago. I'm working with the same professor now on my thesis, which is about the lexicography of WoW. Currently I'm just working on updating the dictionary to include WotLK information, but I'm writing a paper to go along ( Read more... )

I would divide them as Ranged Classes, Hybrid Classes, and Melee Classes. You could theoretically put DKs as a Hybrid, but if, as it seems, you're defining hybrids as "both ranged and melee" I'm not sure that would really work. I don't think death grip, death coil and icy touch really make DK a ranged class. lol

actually, hybrids as I've defined them are classes that can dps with spell power or physical attacks, so it's Paladins, Shaman, and Druids.

...maybe I could lump hunters in there...

I would think the death knight also fits under hybrids, although I would possibly rank pet locks and hunters into a pet class subtype which focuses on using pets and ranged attacks to maximize damage and focused agro.

I just don't, in any way, see hunters as a hybrid class.
