TVD Ensemble Videos
A conversation with earnmysong has brought to my attention 2 excellent TVD videos featuring all of the wonderful characters. In a happy quirk of fate, I was able to introduce another well-done ensemble video to her. These videos moved me enough to prompt me to post them, and share the feelings they evoke in me (which I've been having a hard time doing lately).

There are so many powerful moments in this showing the essence of their relationships with each other. Brothers and sisters, grandmother and granddaughter, brother and brother, BFFs and new friends, father and daughter, and mother and daughter - all of these are included in this fabulous show.
This video has a great balance of the so many intense, difficult moments (seeing the one you love most die right in front of you, knowing your father won't be there anymore, having your beloved Grams back for a short time only to make her absence felt even more, believing this would be your last day with your humanity in tact, watching your ghost girlfriend walk away) with the solid support and unconditionally and selflessly loving ones (like Jeremy holding Elena, Elena holding Bonnie, Tyler holding Caroline, Jeremy kissing Anna, Stefan hugging Elena, Damon telling Elena he loves her).
The quote through it all is just eerily appropriate wondering how they all got lost and does this darkness have a name.
The whole thing makes me see just how much all of them have been through but still maintain goodness and light and hope despite it all. Overall, this takes my love of this show to another (healthier) level. I appreciate all of the characters and their stories so much more when I don't have my DE blinders on.
Be Still | The Vampire Diaries

This one just shows such lovely moments of comforting whether it be between boyfriend & girlfriend, mother & daughter, bff's, eternal friends, drinking buddies, or brother & sister. The song adds the element that even when you feel completely alone and at the end of your rope, your absent loved ones are there with you.
There are so many sweet moments included: Stefan helping the newly turned Caroline, Damon giving Rose peace of mind before her death, Elijah, Rebekah, & Klaus pledging themselves to each other, Caroline staying with Tyler while he turns, Damon staying with Ric, Elena holding Jenna after she finds out the truth, and Pearl grasping Anna in her arms. All of these moments speak to me of the strength and constancy of the bonds between all of them, and the good qualities they possess.
Overall it leaves me feeling hopeful and good inside and that I, too, have the strength to continue on and handle whatever is coming up next.
The Vampire Diaries: Fix you

This is the one that earnmysong hadn't seen yet. I caught it on YouTube because I subscribed to the maker's channel after watching several of her DE videos.
I love this one as it matches several different aspects of the show - friendship, family, violence, loving, people dying, and heartbreak - to exactly the right section of music and echoes a common movement within each aspect. Also, I feel that the overall theme that you will find your way home somehow to be very hopeful and encouraging.
This was just beautifully put together and showcases all the awesomeness of TVD.
