This post is entirely my brain's reaction to badboy_fangirl's gif in her "Okay, so this is a test of the National Emergency Broadcasting System..." post (found here:
badboy-fangirl.livejournal.com/525645.html)
Apologies in advance if it makes no sense, but it's 3:30 am here and I simply cannot sleep until I get this out of my head ;)
Upon seeing her gif, with the wonderful tagline "No acting was involved in the making of this GIF" my mind immediately remembered the Michael Ausiello interview at Comic-Con San Diego (July 21 -24, 2010), which was taped the day after they wrapped "The Return".
www.youtube.com/watch Nina and Ian definitely give off the vibe of two people who are together. Ian finishes Nina's sentences a couple of times and she is in contact with him pretty much the entire interview.
Also, they seemed particularly "couple-y" in several pictures from that convention. Such as:
and, of course, this one:
and this adorable one:
So, in closing, all of this confirms the sentiment behind that gif. I feel as if both Nina and Ian brought a fair amount of real life experience to their performance of that incredibly hot Damon & Katherine scene.
ETA - Thank heavens I am on vacation and do NOT have to be up in just over an hour to go to work :D
