Well, yesterday was spent helping lostdreamer666  with his Series III engine swap - the associated tasks, anyway.  All in all I think we had a reasonably productive day.  The main things we achieved were: draining and removing the petrol tank, removal of both front wings, removal of the battery tray, cleaning one side of the chassis in the engine bay (cleaning ( Read more... )

I was going to help Kev today but plans changed and I helped Franc instead with squeezing a 4.2 Supercharged V8 into his little Range Rover Classic ;) Mostly doing the little extra bits like holding bits from the other side of the vehicle, take photos of Franc welding/cutting/fixing/fitting and other stuff and generally helping out ;)

I'm knackered too. Time for a coffee, a hot shower and a relax with a book :)

Also good to meet new LR Friends in the area.

Dave & Lin, the pub details are 'The Nursery Tavern, Lord Street, Coventry, CV5 8DA' on Thursday and Sunday evenings between 9pm and when they chuck us out (litterally, quite regularly!)

That Classic sounds like it will be an interesting vehicle when it's done :oD

Thanks for that - not sure when we'll get a chance to pop along, but Thursdays are generally better for us than Sundays (early night due to work the next morning). Hopefully we'll see you there soon!
