Since you don't "Fear criticism" (as you quoted above) I am gonna be blunt. How can you say "Screw them" when they provide for you? You can only say that when you get off your butt and go out and support yourself. Ever heard "Don't bite the hand that feeds you"? It has a lot of spiritual and practical truths. If you are in someones house, you respect their opinions and desires. You haven't left their spiritual authority and they have every RIGHT to be concerned. Maybe they are worried. I would bet that your mother (the one you respect) is concerned about your safety too. Just because she hasn't vocalized it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. For the record, I am concerned that you are going across the world to spend time alone with a guy that you have been in physical contact with for maybe 3 weeks. This isn't a missions trip that God is sending you on. This is a trip for you to go spend time with your boyfriend. Don't put "God's will for your life" as the excuse for going without submitting it first to the spiritual

Just for the record, I did spend a pretty good hunk of time vocalizing about this trip. It was just in person and not in this forum. And I really tried to be wise in what I said. I've had a great many concerns about these plans as well. Linda, I think it would be wise to try to discuss with all your family members individually where you stand. It's so apparent that they all care VERY much about your well-being. And I'm sure you can benefit from their input. (Glad you spoke up, Tim.) Back to Linda....You may be convinced in your heart that this is right, but you need to keep a humble, respectful attitude in the face of opposition. How much sweeter any pursuit is when it's accompanied by the loving support of your family and not rancor. I suggest you add that into the equation

I really hope that you don't think that this schpiel is associated with the conversation(s) we've engaged in before on this topic. I heard, respected, prayed and thought intensely about all you had to say, because it is invaluable to me!

Therefore, I have benefited from everyone's input. The whole qualm here is that no one seems to think that God would watch out for me if I went. He's in control. I'm trying not to be. Need I emphasize that more? I said everything I meant or I would not have posted it.

Agh! I'm just going crazy because I live on a totally different brain-wave than everyone else always does (I guess I was created like that...). It seems (note: seems indicates that it could just be my reality and not the one everyone else exists in) like no one is quite catching my intentions or meaning of what I posted.
