Thank you for all the well wishes on getting here safely. :) The trip was LONG and BORING. I flew with US Airways to Philadelphia. Remind me never to fly to Philadelphia again. I've been to a handful of airports now, but Philadelphia has to be the worst for layouts and such. *grr* And they made everybody who had just cleared customs go through security AGAIN to get to their connecting flights. This was further complicated by the fact that there were about 6 international flights that came in at approximately the same time... They had a line from security to almost one of their parking lots of people who had to get to their connecting flights. Why did they have us all leave the "secure" zone in the first place. We landed in Philadelphia about 3:30, and my connecting flight was supposed to board at 5. I may have missed it, had I not started talking to the other people in line, and when they found out when I was supposed to fly, they got flagged down one of the security guards monitoring the line, and he waved me ahead (after rolling his eyes, like how could I be so dumb to schedule flights so near to each other?)
I was extremely tired the whole time, and I slept on and off. I also read a fair amount of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Normally, I don't like reading in moving vehicles, due to my penchant for motion sickness, but the on-board "entertainment" was so bad. "Shanghai Knights" was the on-board movie. Why couldn't it have been "Bend it Like Beckham", like some other flights they had?
However, you know you're terribly tired and caught up with Harry Potter when you think, after 18 hours of travelling, "Why didn't I just Apparate over here?" and for a couple of seconds, you're trying to think of the reasons why you didn't.
