So I have a car again. After four days of phone tag with the insurance company, I finally just had a guy come out to start the process of getting an estimate on fixing the damage to the garage, and of more immediate importance, extricate my car from it. This amused me. So the Obama campaign has put up a website intended to counter the internet rumors started against him. Today Slate has an article that argues that repeating the rumors, even to debunk them, keeps them circulating and gives them additional currency. So the primary season is over, and the candidates have been selected with as much certainty as there will be until the actual conventions. As happy as I am that there was a real contest this time around, as opposed to an annointment coming out of the first month's contests, I'm glad it's over.
