Part: 2 of ?
The moon hung clear above the rabble of treetops as a light breeze swept through the leaves, causing a symphony of rustling and crackling amongst the late night silence as nothing seemed to stir, a mutual agreement throughout the natural world to let the trees do their dance with the wind in peace. However as soon as the breeze abandoned the trees to wallow in the silence of the midnight gloom once more, light, rapid footsteps could be heard crunching against the fallen leaves as they raced across the forest floor, dodging in between trees, ducking under branches, hood pulled up over their face as they sprinted at an impossible speed, a small hiss of panic escaping as the sound of growls and stalking footsteps drew ever closer.
Before they could comprehend what was happening, a large form barrelled into their spine sending them sprawling across the floor with a loud huff of pain, the cracks that shot through the air as bone met stone and hard earth echoed around the trees. A loud growl from beside their ear confirmed their fears of what was following them, despite the fact the Moon was still only at three quarters of its cycle. Ignoring the numerous bones that were bound to be broken, the victim used all their remaining strength to knock the creature away and roll over, hands reaching for their side as they searched for the folding knife they kept on them in case of times like this.
Reaching what they wanted, they climbed to their feet, ignoring the biting pain in their ankle, wrists and spine as they dived at the large form to try and gain revenge, hood hanging long forgotten down their back as the pair rolled, knocked back and wrestled against the forest floor, kicks, punches, scratches, glimmers of silver, bites and rips rained down across the pair until a tangled mess of their blood lay in pools marring the once tranquil scene.
An aggressive bite to the neck drew a sharp cry of pain from the victim as he slumped, neck pulsing as the blood dripped freely from his jugular, the fight quickly leaving him as the creature advanced once more, their disturbingly human jawline smeared in their prey's blood as they aimed to finish the job and devour the fallen forms entity. Yet, as they pounced, teeth animalistic and sharp, ready to finish the job, a sudden high pitched sound filled the air as something shot through the atmosphere at high speed before embedding itself in the creatures shoulder, drawing a cry of pain of its own, before turning its attention towards the trees the attack had stemmed from. Only to be hit once again in the lower back.
From their position on the ground, the now heavily bleeding form watched hazily as the creature span and twisted and turned in all directions, trying to find their assailant amongst the trees, only to get hit once more from another direction, before a small rustle of leaves announced their saviours movement from the tree.
Six shots later and the creature was on the ground, twitching disturbingly, eyes a glowing gold as they snarled and snapped their jaws at their original victim, before the pain kicked in and it slumped still, from either death or unconsciousness, the survivor was unable to tell. A sound from the tree top to their left, drew tired eyes upwards, barely able to focus on the body that leapt from the branches and landed silently beside them, eyes wide and panicked as they gently pressed a hand to the ever flowing stream of red from the other's neck.
“Are you alright?” a soft voice questioned, as small, yet surprisingly strong arms curled around the bleeding form's waist. “Kibum-ah?! Speak to me!”
“Ry-” Kibum croaked, all but slumping against the other. “Wookie Hy-Hyung?”
“It's alright Kibum-ah, I'll get you home, cone on...” Ryeowook breathed, helping the injured male to his feet, supporting the male's uncooperative form over his back. “I can't heal you Kibum-ah, not to this extent, I need to get you back to Siwon Hyung.”
“Can't...” Kibum croaked as he was pulled away, Ryeowook all but running through the trees with Kibum hanging over his shoulders by his arms, his movements still surprisingly light despite the extra weight. “I...I have a job.”
“Which you won't be able to finish if you die from blood loss.” Ryeowook snapped, before slowing slightly as he noticed he'd reached the edge of the trees, and the edge of his destination. “It's a good job I got sent out on patrol otherwise we never would have found you.”
“Who..?” Kibum tried to ask, before giving up as he coughed harshly, blood splattering from his lips across the slightly elder male's shoulder, said male not paying the slightest bit of attention as he walked.
“Who do you think?” Ryeowook questioned rhetorically, rolling his eyes at the male, before turning away at the sight of blood. “Siwon Hyung always has a knack for knowing when some thing's going to happen.”
“Ryeowook-ah?” Donghae gasped suddenly as the pair reached the large house hidden at the edge of the forest, the elder having been positioned on the doorstep to keep guard. “Is....Is...Is that...Ki-” the elder had stuttered before Kibum raised his eyes wearily at the sound of a familiar voice, causing Donghae to gasp audibly in shock. “Kibum-ah!?!” he exclaimed before he rushed forward, hands quickly making light work of removing Kibum from Ryeowook's hold and all but carrying him into the house, his calls of 'Siwon Hyung!' just about audible from the front step.
Siwon leapt to his feet as the door to his room was flung open and Donghae ran in dragging a heavily bleeding Kibum, he had been almost dozing against his seat, wishing he was back at his dorm instead of stuck in the infernal hell he hated having to return to every week under orders, he could have been sat listen to his room-mate sleep, something that had become quite a habit of his in the past month since he'd met the elder.
“Wookie-yah found him.” Donghae explained as Siwon stepped forward and swiftly swept Kibum upwards into his arms and across to the bed, before he laid his dongsaengs form gently across the sheets, ignoring what Donghae said as he sent various curious onlookers scampering for bandages and ointment at the tall males command. “Will he be alright?” Donghae queried sitting down gingerly on the bed next to the now pale and sweating male.
“He's lost a lot of blood, but I can heal him, but he'll need a donor.” Siwon replied, gently pressing the cloth one of the youngsters had brought him before he gazed pointedly at the smaller male in regards to his last statement. However, as Donghae went to respond, Siwon carefully lay his hand over the wound, before narrowing his eyes, brows dipping as he concentrated on the deep gash.
Donghae watched as the steadily paling male fell still, his eyes widening as he watched, about to voice his concern when Kibum jerked suddenly, his eyes flying open as he hissed in pain, the colour slowly returning to his features as Siwon nodded tensely and sat back.
“That's stopped the bleeding.” He murmured, before he reached for the bandage, Donghae blinking slightly in shock at the sight of Kibum's smooth, albeit bloodstained, yet unmarked neck. “Your lucky it wasn't next week, otherwise you'd have had a fully transformed walking poison dispenser biting you.”
“I...” Kibum began before pausing as Siwon pulled him into a sitting position and began to wrap the bandage round his neck. “I...I did it Hyung. I found out what I needed to.”
At this, Siwon paused, his eyes flashing slightly before he continued wrapping the bandage around the slender neck, casting a small glance towards Donghae before tying the two strips into a knot to hold it securely in place.
“Rest now, tell me later. When you come back to School tomorrow.” Siwon stated before standing up. “And you will be back tomorrow, I'm not having you been sent out on these stupid jobs again. If they need jobs doing they can send one of the elders who isn't in school and isn't young.” Marching across to the doorway, Siwon all but snarled at the people gathered still in curiosity at the mass panic the injured arrival had caused before he slammed the door in their faces, not before pulling Ryeowook into the room, ignoring Yesung's protests from the other side. “We need to have a word.” Siwon hissed, before he turned back to Donghae and nodded towards Kibum, the elder nodding in understanding before he moved over towards his dongsaeng.
“Hyung?” Ryeowook queried as Siwon dragged him through the door at the other end of the room to the one he'd been dragged through originally, before blinking as he found himself in a small study, the fire crackling merrily in the grates as Siwon sighed and dropped heavily, yet strangely gracefully into the seat closest.
“Did you kill it?” Siwon questioned, eyes blank as he stared into the fire, Ryeowook slowly moving forward to press a comforting hand into the elder's shoulder.
“I-I don't know. I got it with six arrows and it fell still, if it's not dead its gravely injured.” Ryeowook answered, before frowning as Siwon sighed once again.
“You hit it with six silver arrows and it may not be dead?” Siwon repeated, eyes wide in a mixture of shock and concern for his fellows. “Either way, injured isn't enough. I don't stand for anyone or anything injuring one of my family.” the elder snarled flinging some unknown object aggressively into the fireplace without much thought for its worth. “Do me a favour, take Yesung, go back to where you'd hurt it. If it's dead that's fine. If it's not I want it's head slicing off. Understand?”
“Yes Hyung.” Ryeowook replied as he moved to stand in front of the taller male, hesitating slightly before bowing slightly and heading out the doorway, rushing to grab Yesung to tell him of their orders before the pair ran off towards the armoury, the elder picking up his extendible staff before the pair disappeared into the night.

With a long stretch, Hankyung sighed happily as he sat up in bed, fingers reaching up to ruffle his hair in an attempt to get it to fall back into some form of order. Climbing to his feet, the Chinese male shuffled over towards the mirror and peered curiously at his dark blond hair, musing to himself that it was possibly getting too long, before his eyes were drawn to the shifting shape in the bed at his other side.
Stepping closer, Hankyung watched intrigued as Siwon rolled over, sheets pooled down by his waist, his extremely toned abdominal muscles marred slightly by the odd slender white scar here and there, that were only noticeable if you observed them long enough. Ever since he'd met the younger male, Hankyung had been intrigued by the male's peculiar behaviour, he always seemed to know the ways of the world, always had a smile on his face or an ear to listen with, yet at all times he always seemed to be thinking about something Hankyung dare not ask about.
Remembering that the younger male's first lesson was different to his own, and wasn't for another couple of hours, Hankyung quickly moved away to get ready, scruffily scribbling a note to the sleeping male half an hour later as he was about to head out the door. Humming softly as he trudged down the corridor to his extended Performance lesson that he had once a week, wondering briefly is Sungmin had decided what he'd wanted to do for their duet yet.
“Gege?” Siwon blinked as the door slid shut, sitting up in confusion at the sunlight streaming into the room before remembering the elder's lessons started earlier on a Friday, the Performance teacher starting an hour earlier then most classes so the group had an almost three hour lesson, instead of the traditional one and a half. As he shifted to move out of bed, Siwon frowned as he spotted the small piece of paper propped up against his bedside lamp, the scratchy letters across the pages informing him Hankyung had written it.
Siwon-ah. I hope you slept well.
I hope you woke up in time for lesson, I'm sorry I couldn't wake you up
As you know (or hopefully do) I have extended Performance this morning.
I'll see you in English.
By the way, I said to Sungmin-ah that I'd sit with him at Lunch so I could meet his friends.
I hope you don't mind.
Geng.
As he finished reading, Siwon felt his mouth go dry and he scrunched the paper between his fingers. Sungmin was going to be dragging him over to his own group at lunch, the rabble that had been a thorn in their own groups side since High School had began. If he hadn't been in a bad mood before hand, he certainly was now. Leaping to his feet, Siwon stormed into the bathroom and smashed his fist into the mirror, breathing heavily as he felt his anger dissipate, before he quickly stripped and stepped into the shower, ignoring the cracks in the mirror as they squeaked slightly and melted back together into a seamless piece of reflective glass once more, nothing remaining to suggest the male had taken his anger out on the inanimate object.
---------------------------------------------------
As Hankyung stepped into English a few hours later, he glanced around to find Siwon already there, his hair once again a curled mess as he didn't bother to do anything with it after getting a shower, a smile crossing his lips as he moved across to take his seat and say hello, before he felt it slip off as he found another male sat the other side of Siwon, almost as tall, but slightly slimmer, short black spiky hair and dark, weary eyes as he nodded at whatever Siwon was saying, one hand pressed to the skin of his neck as the other was held between both of Siwon's own.
“Geng Gege!” Siwon smiled as the other male pointed out the Chinese man's presence, the hand slipping from between his own as he turned back to face the front. “You're here, great, I'd like you to meet someone.” he added, gesturing to the male beside him.
“Hello.” the male smiled, nodding his head politely, before he paused to cough slightly drawing a worried glance from the elder male.
“Hankyung Hyung...” Siwon stated, switching back to Korean. “This is Kibum-ah.” he explained before he gestured for the Chinese male to take his usual seat. “Are you sure it's pups?” Siwon questioned, turning back to Kibum briefly, the eldest of the three watching curiously as Kibum looked at him cautiously before replying.
“Yes, pups. I heard them going on about how they were coming into their inheritance and would be needing training.” Kibum answered, dipping his head slightly before he winced, hand instinctively lifting to his neck.
“And they'd be trained here?” Siwon continued.
“Yes, they said they are here anyway, so it makes sense to be trained by those already here too.” Kibum replied once more.
“Darn it.” Siwon hissed, before he rolled his eyes up towards the ceiling as he leant backwards. “I guess we'll just to have to keep an eye out for any new ones that join in their little group.”
The rest of English passed as much as it had ever done in the first week of a new year, Hankyung found himself getting confused with translating things from Korean into Chinese, so he could understand the context properly and translate it into English, his confusion at the conversation he'd overheard soon forgotten as Siwon leant across to help him translate things properly, the younger male's voice incessantly sprouting random tips on how to translate quickly as well as random Chinese vocabulary to help skip the first part of the elder's translation. The elder however suddenly fascinated with his room-mates facial features which he could now admire from up close as Siwon muttered to him so their teacher wouldn't hear, unable to understand just why he found the taller male's features so fascinatingly perfect.
“You got that?” Siwon queried turning to look up at Hankyung, torn between smirking or screaming internally at the intense stare the elder was giving him, knowing full well he couldn't drag Hankyung into his way of life.
“Y-Yes, thank you Siwon-ah.” Hankyung replied, before he carried on with his work, blatantly avoiding looking at Siwon as he tried to work out what was going on in his head. Unable to keep the grateful smile off his face as lesson finished, meaning he could get a few minutes fresh air to clear his head as he moved buildings, before he had to sit next to the taller male once again.
“Hankyung Hyung!” at the call of his name some time late, Hankyung turned to find Sungmin diving at him, his blond hair shimmering in the sunlight as he smiled brightly up at the man. “Come on, we're sat over here, I've told everyone I'm going to introduce you to them. They'll be nice don't worry.”
Allowing himself to be dragged over towards the other side of the Cafeteria to where he would normally sit, Hankyung glanced across, just in time to see Heechul squeal happily before all but throwing himself onto Kibum, Siwon's quick reactions being the only thing preventing the younger male from hitting the floor, the whole table seeming a lot brighter in spirit with the return of Kibum and Hankyung felt rather bad that he wasn't included in the happiness of the group of people he was quickly coming to care deeply about.
“Guys, this Hankyung Hyung.” Sungmin suddenly stated, and the Chinese male realised they'd stopped. Glancing around the group gathered around the table, Hankyung smiled and waved slightly, watching almost nervously for someone to react.
“Ah! Hello! Welcome, come, sit down, you can sit next to me!” a slender blond spoke, his long slender ponytail and partially shaved hair looking like a strange combination between Sungmin's and Heechul's, the whole mass swaying as he all but bounced in his seat.
“Teukie Hyung. Calm down.” a largely built male from opposite the blond spoke, before resuming to eat away at his lunch.
“Hankyung....This is Leeteuk Hyung.” Sungmin introduced, pointing to the blond, before moving to the male opposite who'd spoken up. “That's Shindong Hyung, the one that looks like a rabid monkey next to him is Eunhyuk-ah, the bean pole who's currently finding his phone more interesting then his friends is Zhou Mi-yah, and the bag of muscles and bright happily smiles sat next to Teukie Hyung is Kangin Hyung.” Sungmin finished, each one as they spoke nodding their head to the Chinese man in acknowledgement.
“Here, sit next to Teukie Hyung like he asked, he won't bite. He's just a little insane.” Sungmin stated before moving to sit next to Eunhyuk and pulling his lunch from his bag. As he sat next to the male, who he soon found out was the eldest, Hankyung found himself observing the group quietly, much like he had back with Siwon's group. The group were all good looking in their own way, yet they seemed to be almost thuggish compared to Siwon and co. Whereas his first group of friends seemed to ooze grace, elegance and beauty, the new group of acquaintances were more gorgeously dangerous.
They weren't as sociable, and only Sungmin's incessant babbling and Leeteuk's excited ramblings about a newbie that was coming to join them next week kept the table alive. Shindong seemed to not care what anyone was saying and instead remained fully focused on enjoying his lunch, Zhou Mi seemed to not care about lunch at all and Eunhyuk was too caught up watching his Hyung's babble to remember to eat his lunch.
However, Kangin all but terrified him, he hadn't said a word yet, to anyone, yet Hankyung could almost feel the animosity rolling off the muscular man as he glared at the table top, Hankyung not noticing anyone was watching him till Leeteuk leant towards him.
“Oh, don't worry about him, he's just upset, one of his family went missing last night.” he explained, casting a soft, concerned look at the man in question.
“Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.” Hankyung replied, his own sympathetic look going towards the sullen man before he almost choked as he realised said male was staring straight at him.
“I don't appreciate you talking about me.” he snapped, causing Leeteuk to jump slightly before turning almost as red as Heechul's hair, turning round with a small smile.
“Kannie-yah. I was just explaining, He looked a bit scared.” Leeteuk pouted, batting his eyelashes quickly, the pout swiftly morphing into a smile as Kangin rolled his eyes and nodded, patting the elder on the back awkwardly as he found himself being hugged. Hankyung musing to himself that Kangin definitely wasn't the emotionally forward type.
“Is it true you share a room with Choi Siwon?” Zhou Mi suddenly piped up, phone forgotten as he glanced down the table, the rest of the group except Sungmin all turning to look at the Chinese male in question.
“Umm...Yes.” Hankyung stammered in response, watching curiously as Kangin's face seemed to darken even further and Leeteuk's smile vanished, along with the small dimple. “Umm....why?”
“I told you all at the beginning of the week.” Sungmin put in suddenly, happily continuing on with his lunch as the rest continued to look at the newest addition to the table.
“How can you stand him?” Shindong questioned almost curiously as he tilted his head in thought.
“How can I what? I get along with him fine.” Hankyung replied confused and slowly getting annoyed at the group's opinions on his room mate.
“You'll have to forgive us Hankyung-ah.” Leeteuk stated, smiling once again, only thin and falsely this time as he reached across to pat the darker blond's hand. “We have some....err.....aversions to their group. Siwon-sshi especially. It's nothing to get upset about. We've been like this all High School, they dislike us just as much.”
“Really?” Hankyung queried tilting his own head in question, before frowning as a shadow fell across him and he looked up to find Siwon stood behind him. “Siwon-ah!?”
“I'm sorry to interrupt you Hyung, whilst your getting to know your new friends.” Siwon stated, eyes flashing dangerously as he surveyed the group all now glaring at him. “However, we was wondering if you wanted to come join the celebrations with us.”
“Umm....Okay,” Hankyung stated before turning back as Siwon nodded and walked off back to his own table. “I'm....I'm sorry guys, I'm going to have to go, it was nice meeting you all.”
“No problems.” Leeteuk stated, smiling once again. “You go celebrate.”
Hankyung nodded and walked away, his stuff clasped in his hands as he manoeuvred his way across the canteen, frowning slightly as he tried to work out why Leeteuk's smile seemed to get almost feral as he walked away.
