Name:Namine (In game: Namine Elizabeth Whitney )
Age:15
Nationality: Mostly British immigrants, though her grandmother on her mother's side was German.

PERSONALITY: Namine, unlike most other nobodies, was born without memories or the knowledge of emotions to use as a base for her personality. Instead of using her own nonexistent memories of how to process emotion, she formed responses based on the guidance of her captors, causing her to start as quiet and easier to control, but also very lonely.

However, once she came in contact with Sora’s heart and the memories connected to it, she began to form true emotions mainly starting with guilt and jealousy. Guilt as she began to realize the effects of what she was being told to do on Sora, and jealousy that Kairi had someone to care about her while she did not. This lead her to have a real motive for replacing the memories of Kairi in his heart.

As she started to form something of a moral compass of her own and grew to actually care about Sora, she became more rebellious and determined to help him. Even though she still is fairly quiet, she now is devoted and determined to finding a way to help the people she cares for, through manipulation, interference and even at great risk to herself. Namine is also willing to risk danger to others, or make decisions that would seem cold or awful, like breaking the heart of the replica to protect what she does care for, though she might regret it later. She does try very hard to be understanding and kind when called for, she often has troubles knowing what will hurt someone if she tells them or if she acts a certain way.

Unlike most nobodies, Namine does have true emotion, and possibly always did have it though initially her personality was fairly meek. This is a trait specific to only a couple of characters, her and Roxas as the examples.

HOW DIFFERENT DO YOU WANT THE MEMORIES TO BE FROM THEIR CANON?
Namine doesn’t remember her parents, but knows they did more then alright for themselves and has little more then names to tell her anything about them. She was very young when she went into the care of her guardian, a cousin she doesn’t have much fondness for and is often used as a manipulation tool for money from relatives or what is left of her parent’s estate.

She wasn’t the strongest child, or the most active. In fact she was considered downright sickly and her guardian often kept her indoors under the pretense that it was better for her that way.

Though she received tutoring, Namine ever went to any kind of school and didn’t have very many friends, creating a lonely girl who simply wanted to have friends and a life outside of her guardian’s care. As she is now fifteen she has a little more freedom then she had previously, able to leave the house for short periods of time or able to walk to her tutors or her drawing class by herself, but still not enough and hasn’t made the kind of friends or life for herself she wants more then anything.

Affiliation: None.

CANON ABILITIES: Namine’s power is control over memories. More specifically, Sora’s memories (and likely Roxas’ as well) and those of the people connected to him. She is able to alter, rewrite, or manipulate memories, seeing them as chains that she links together or takes apart depending on what she is doing at the time.
It is also proven that she can alter objects attached to memory, changing how others view the object. (This is somewhat under debate if she can do this to a larger degree with entire areas or rooms, but it is guessed that this might be an extension of that.) She has also shown herself to be able to appear as Kairi, another form of this sort of power of illusion.

The initial problem with this is she is not able to totally cover her somebody, Kairi, even if she tries to. Also, once she alters someone’s memory, if she fixes it back to how it was, they loose the rewritten version of the memory including the amount of time when the memory was rewritten and they were acting on the belief that it was true. She is also not able to destroy memories, as they are always still there, though she can break the links entirely, severing a person from their own self.

Like other nobodies, though she may be an odd one, she is able to create portals through darkness to travel.

Other information:
-Namine is plagued by dreams, some she remembers in the morning, some she doesn’t. As far as she knows, these have been happening for about a year. They’re canon reminiscent, but never clear enough to exactly know what, who, or where she is. Meeting any canon mates she wouldn’t remember them from the dreams, she’d just have a sense she knows them somehow, like she has déjà vu where they are involved, and not be able to really place it.
- She lives with her cousin, who has many friends, all of them ridiculous in her opinion. Especially the snappish little blond.

Relationships:

Roxas: (Canon) They met over the journals, but talked easy and she instantly found him irreplaceable. In short, he's simply the person most like her that she has ever met in her life, and wishes she knew quite how to say it. She trusts him with all her heart, and would in any case she can imagine.

Edgeworth: They have spoken a few times and she finds him to be a very odd, very sad individual. The sad thought was added after he told her people were always going to betray her trust. Needless to say, she's both curious and a little angered by the fact that someone would tell her something like that.

Simon- He seems like a very sweet boy to Namine, and she has liked him very much from speaking to him.

Axel- (Canon) They haven't spoken very much, but she often finds his name in tow when she thinks of Roxas and is never entirely sure why.

Haydee- A kind woman of the same class. They met at one of her parties and Namine finds her something like what she believes a princess should be. Though, she isn't too sure where this thought comes from when she has it, she thinks it right and moves on.
