Basically, I learnt all my English starting about 15 years ago by watching TV and reading fanfictions in original language. It's a really high quality show, similar in mood and pace to the Scandinavian detective shows. I just viewed an episode of Misfits on hulu.com that had English subtitles on a British show. Apparently, the accents the characters used was so strong that viewers were having trouble understanding them.

I found an interestingly ambiguous sentence in a segment of You Have Been Watching, a British television show, on YouTube. Part of the clip I saw involved the host giving a description of footage from another show. At one point, he comments:

"Matthew Kelly there, asking us to place bets. If I had to put money on it, I'd say he probably is."
