Background: I studied Russian in college nearly ten years ago, and haven't done anything with it since. Apologies, then, if this is a total noob question.
Question: I came across this post at learn_french. (I suspect it is of the spammy sort, but that's neither here nor there.) At the end, the poster says: "Возникшие вопросы и заявки на участие высылайте, пожалуйста, на мой email: Katerina.Tulyankina собака gmail.com." Can anyone explain why the @ is called собака?
