Hooray, I've finally decided to step away from the couch and TV and finally update this thing.
Nothing too important happened Valentine's Day, so I guess I'll start there. I woke up late and almost missed the bus. I forgot that it was Valentine's Day and didn't wear red like 99% of my school did. I wore my navy blue Senior Class of '06 T-Shirt instead. During first period, my Spanish teacher had us make Valentine's Day cards for our classmates and everyone had to find out who sent them their card. A quiet girl in the back gave me a really nice black, pink, and red one with stickers and such. She even included a translation to make sure that I knew what she was saying and a clue: she liked Sponge Bob. I didn't really know her that well so I asked everyone who liked Sponge Bob and she said that she did and that she sent me the card. We had a quick conversation about how dumb it was that some church people don't like SB because it promotes being gay. ...Wha? My card was nice. I used the popular "May Love's Eternal Flame Always Shine Brightly in Your Heart." No one knew where I got it from, they just liked it :)
In second period (ROTC) we had to go outside and march. It was cold and a lot of the girls were wearing skirts and they were freezing :( But our teacher didn't care. At the end of the period, my friend Sarah gave me an "Anti-Valentine's Day" card lol. When some people were carrying around bears, chocolates, and roses, she held a doll with horns and a crossed out heart on its chest.
My English teacher was really disappointed with the essays that we wrote, so she decided to make us start over from the very beginning, implementing material that we had learned in August. Our new assignment was to write an essay about "chocolate" (for Valentine's Day). Chocolate is in quotation marks because she doesn't really want it to be written about chocolate, just referring to chocolate metaphorically. She gave each of us a bar of chocolate as a "prompt" and we were not allowed to eat it because it served as an inspiration :) It's due next Friday.
Nothing interesting happened the rest of the school day except I was really confused about elasticity demand in Economics :(
