Update to my first post

This is what I wrote to the teacher last night:

Hi Mrs. ________,

I wanted to let you know that Logan is currently undergoing testing with our pediatrician for inattentive ADD. She has exhibited signs of this since she was very small and her pediatrician has recommended testing (she was a preemie and that can be a contributing factor). We discussed this extensively with Mrs. Brown when Logan was in kindergarten, as she was still daydreaming a lot and easily distracted by other children, causing her to miss some of the instruction. Things were easier in first grade because she could read the directions and compensate for anything she missed. However, she still struggled with various activities like computer/Lexile testing in the computer lab-her score in the computer lab was low 200s and a few weeks later, it was over 500 when tested in the classroom during a quiet period. Mrs. Brown also had her reading her Lexile/colored bin books at home before taking the tests at school since she could not concentrate on the books during the free time when reading was encouraged (other kids were doing other activities during that time, not necessarily quietly).

I've noticed that Logan is still "missing" things in class this year and therefore, her pediatrician has begun some testing. In the meantime, would it be possible for Logan to take her next Lexile test in a quieter environment, perhaps the classroom during a quiet time? Also, will book reading and regular reading comprehension quizzes on the computer start soon and if so, may she read books at home that she can test on?

I should have more information by the parent-teacher conference in November, but I wanted to mention this now since it's an ongoing issue. Let me know if we should discuss more. Thank you.

And this was her response:

We started taking quizzes on the computer on our Open Court Reading books. She is taking Open Court Reading book 1 and 2 home today. Practice reading the stories at home we are reading in class.

That's it????????? Ugh.
