The biggest challenge about two-dimensional artwork is that you have to capture movement that happens a) in 3D and b) will change in a fraction of a second. So to choose the best "freeze-frame" to get across both the dimensions and the movement of the moment is not always easy. Kinda like stopping the film you're watching at exactly the right picture. I hope it worked the way I intended it to, and I didn't make a complete fool out of myself with the fencing moves ~ I don't know the first thing about fencing, really... ;)

"After the fencing session", can be found here. The next "sneak-a-peek" week will probably be about how to get from the clean outlines to the finished, fully coloured watercolour painting. I'll have to dig through my files first to find a suitable example for that, though.
