I worked this afternoon, despite the home football game happening at the same time, and mostly served as a guide to the restroom. Not much different from working BEFORE kickoff, only with fewer people wandering through. We actually did get a donation (drunken fans ARE good for something!) and I sold a couple of things, so I guess it wasn't a total waste. I got a LOT of knitting done, too.
I got home and got ready to do piles of laundry, but it was not meant to be. For some reason, there appear to be rather a lot of people in my apartment building who also have no lives, and who want to do all their laundry on a Saturday night. The washing machines have all been full from 7:00 on, and I've given up for the night. Ah, well. This has never happened to me before, not in two years living here. First time for everything. Now all my laundry is sitting around, sorted and waiting. I'm going to try to get up early enough before work tomorrow to do at least a couple of loads. Surely people have lives at SOME point during the weekend.
I did make a delicious dinner for myself. At least, I'm assuming it's delicious, but my allergies are so bad currently that I really don't have any interest in food at all. It was palatable even in my current state, which means it's probably great: basmati rice with broccoli, pineapple, pecans, and cheese. I definitely need to remember this one (though the cheese doesn't HAVE to be part of it, I'm trying to cram in calories and protein).
Now I'm off to take drugs to make the coughing stop and the breathing start, and hopefully get a good night's rest.
