Now, a lot of you may know this already, I have a deep and everlasting love for Nora Roberts and anything that she writes. So imagine my excitement when I find out that four of her books were going to become Lifetime TV movies. I watched the first two, the first one, with Heather Locklear, was just horrible. The second one, based on a favorite of mine, Montana Sky, wasn’t that good either. So…I don’t know if I want to keep on watching. There are many reasons why these movies aren’t working for me some are:
1) The actors can never be as attractive I imagine the characters in the books to be. So that distracts me.
2) The don’t show the sex that is so awesomely described in the books, I mean what is a orgasm that feels like “lightning covered in velvet” supposed to look like on screen? That is best left to the imagination.
3) The music is driving me crazy, it sound like a weird cross between Disney ™ and porn music.
4) NO CHEMISTRY AT ALL! Come on!
Sigh. So I don’t know if I want to watch Blue Smoke starring Alicia Witt (from one of my favorite tv shows of all time…Cybill!) and Scott Bacula (who, thank god, does not play her love interest). I probably will, but I’m not going to be happy about it.
