Elliot has decided that there is no Santa. And so, we had this little conversation on the ride home from school a couple weeks ago:
"Santa's not real."
"Of course he is, Elliot."
"No, he's not, mama."
"Well you better not say that too loud or if Santa hears it, he might not give you his presents." And there was a pause. And when we got home, Elliot spent the entire rest of the afternoon writing a letter to Santa. And another letter. And another. And an entire huge envelope full of letters to Santa. I think Elliot was worried he'd said too much outloud.
Actually, an entire gift bag FULL of letters, with a loving sign on the outside. Just to make sure. I love Santa because he is cool.
And Clara wrote a letter.
A few days later, off to the library we went to see Santa. It was a different Santa this year, but he was a good one.
Clara gave Santa her letter.
And Elliot gave Santa allll his letters. (But not before I scanned them in!!)
Stay tuned to see all the letters. Elliot's just learned how to start writing this year in Kindergarten, and these are some seriously AWESOME letters of everything he wants.
