Taking the annual Christmas Photo is always a challenge with kids. The more kids, the more challenging. This year, with three kids, I took about 15 "practice" shots and then about 52 pictures (in 10 minutes) of the real deal in hopes of catching just one good picture for our Chrismas card. The kids had fun doing this with baby Philip, so a lot of them are really cute if not necessarily "good" ones. I laughed looking back through these, so here are a few of the ones that kinda capture the moment.
The trial run, with the idea that Elliot would wear red stocking boots, Clara wear the hat, and Philip popping up from inside a huge stocking we found at the Dollar Store. Yes, I think it'll work......
No don't smile quite that big...
Okay here goes. Mama, how about I hold this ornament instead of Philip! And I want to wear these little stockings!
2 seconds later...
Mama, let me take the picture with you in it!
So cute, but can't see the baby.
2 seconds later ...
Okay guys, you hold the baby!
Mama we're dropping the baby!
No, don't pinch his cheeks.
No, don't pull his ears.
Yes!!
That's cute! Wait no don't fall back everybody!
Great job guys, FINALLY!!
This was a seriously stressful 10 minutes of my life. Very hard work. I was sweating by the end of it. But it's something that must be done every single year. Whew.
