latvian camp anniversary
this past weekend was amazing. i haven't had that much fun in ages... well since various latvian functions in the spring. we arrived on saturday morning and it was raining, which kinda sucks. i ended up sleeping in a cabin with like 17 or so other friends or friends of friends. also, some people decided that because it was raining, we required a picnic table inside, yes inside, our cabin. that was interesting because later that night it was used for beer pong and playing other drinking games.
lots of stuff happened, but i won't bore you with the details. the greatest part was seeing all these people i hadn't seen in ages. specially two of my cousins. my cousin is 14 and now he's taller than me, which he wasn't at christmas. soon i'll be the shortest. *Sigh* anywho, i also got to see elga, larisa and random other ppl which i absolutely loved.
we drove 7 hours home on monday after saying goodbye to anyone we could find that was still hanging around. it was a really good drive for the most part, and we got to the border and there was no line. but inside the duty free were the passengers of about 4 buses, all standing in line. so we butted, which wasn't fair, but there should have been a seperate line for non-bus people. but we got out of there in like 20 minutes, so it wasn't too bad.
it's kinda weird that i'm not going to school now. but i guess it'll be okay. i'm being switched to the day shift at work, which should provide some more hours. and i'm doing quite a bit around the house to help out. today, for instance, i did 3 loads of laundry, and ran some errands. tomorrow i have to finish off the laundry and hopefully dust and/or vacuum.
also stuff to do in the near future is start looking at scholarships for uni. and dance is starting up on sunday, which i'm totaly not prepared for because i'm so out of shape, but i'll be happy to see everyone again.
