AIDS 2006

so the conference is actually a pretty sweet gig. i'm working in the IAS office (that would be the International Aids Society), who are basically organising the entire event. so all the cool ppl hang out in our office. plus, there's always food and stuff around. today i didn't do much, just stood on door duty, making sure that ppl who weren't supposed to be there weren't allowed in.

it's nothing really special. but this morning before my shift, i took advantage of the fact that i'm allowed to watch sessions. i listened to bill gates and bill clinton talk about what needs to be done to fight AIDS.

yesterday, i also went to the opening ceremony and concert. the speeches were good, a tad long, but otherwise met with enthusiasm. the concert was a tad too long, and could have done without barry ivan white (whoever he is) and massari. but blue man group, chantal kreviazuk, our lady peace and the barenaked ladies were awesome. got home late, woke up early. tired aaaaalllll day.

hopefully i'll get to bed early tonight. tomorrow i'm going to go see shamin be on a pannel discussion or something, and maybe another bill clinton thing. anywho, that's pretty much what's up. my driving test is next week. fuck. i haven't had time to practice. w/e. okay, time to go... night!
