Life update!
My job: I love my job. I worked through lunch again today. And not because I was so busy I was overwhelmed and felt like hitting someone all afternoon. Because I was so interested in what I was doing that I completely forgot to eat. Yay! (I'm eating now, so fret not. Trust me, missing lunch every week or so is NOT going to hurt me.) Here's an Item of Interest for the day: one of my cases tomorrow (two, really) is a cross-complaint, two people charging each other with assault based on the same incident. One person states in her complaint that the other admitted to "defling" her toothbrush. I desperately want to know what that means.
My nails: I got a french manicure Friday- the bridal party went to the salon as a sort of group bonding activity (it was optional but we all went). I ruined one nail today. Grr. Thus I am reminded why I don't get my nails done ever. At least I kept 'em nice through the wedding though.
Bach: Is totally awesome!
My bed: Is probably about as de-scented as it's going to get. There's this one segment that is still somewhat odiforous, but I've used almost a gallon of this chemical (NOT EXAGGERATING) and I give up. So fuck it. I have informed my cats that the first one to pee on my mattress (again) is "going to be in a world of pain, I'm not even kidding," so we'll see how that goes.
Cake!: My brother brought this delicious chocolate cake home from Costco for his birthday; smirking, he pointed at the place on the label where it listed the weight: the goddamn cake weighed seven pounds. SEVEN. So, yes. I recommend this cake, but only if you have about 30 friends to share it with. Because one inch of this case is enough cake to last you for several years.
