Perhaps you have heard the story of the woman who found the Jackson Pollack painting in a thrift shop for $5. The art world has given her a hard time with authenticating it due to its lack of provenence. A thumbprint on it has matched one found in his studio...yadda yadda, movie is made, lady gets famous and hopefully her and her family will soon be about $50 million richer.
