Les Vacances de Toussaint et apres

I went to Italy for break with Molly, and it was pretty amazing. We went to Venice and Florence (Venezia/Firenze). In Venice we mostly walked around the whole time we were there, although we did go into a beautiful basilica, climbed a tower with a vew of all of Venice, went into a little church where there was an exhibit about Vivaldi, and saw hundreds of stores that sold Venetian glass products. In Florence we took two bus tours of the city, which really enabled us to see all of the architecture and history. We had a really good time just being in Italy, even the nights spent in our hotel room watching Italian tv were really fun.

Now we're back in Nantes and midterms have begun (about 8 weeks through and 5 weeks before finals . . . yes I know it makes no sense.) I had my art history midtermon Thursday, and next I have my Palestinian Question midterm on Tuesday, France and the Atlantic World on Wednesday, and French grammar on Friday. The following week I have two papers due, and the week after that I have two more papers due. The first weekend in December I'm visiting my friend Sammy from Northwestern in Scotland, which should be really fun, then comes a week of no assignments, and then the next two weeks are the end of class and finals. I'm pretty much done travelling except for Scotland, but I think Sarah is visiting me Thanksgiving weekend. I'm ready to come home, I'm not going to lie. France is fun, and I like that I think I can understand what people say a lot better than before, but I'm ready to spend time with my family and speak in English all the itme.

My host family was gone again last night, and Molly slept over again and we ordered pizza again. It was just as much fun as last time, and I handled the ordering of the pizza en francais much better.

A bientot, mes amis!
