Lots of pillows or just one?
Two pillows, the bottom one higher than the top one, with one arm tucked underneath (referred to as my "superman" sleeping position when I tried to demonstrate it for someone XD)
What kind of books do you read?
I've always liked realistic fiction with some romance in it. But lately every new book I try to read has disappointed me for one reason or another. All the heroines are narcissistic bitches who do nothing but whine, where are the real and/or nice people? Blerg.
What are your neighbors like?
Currently nonexistent! My upstairs neighbors have moved out, and they were the only ones I could hear or talked to very often. I've exchanged a few pleasantries with the people on either side, but that's about it.
I finally found the listing for the upstairs apartment! It was fun to compare it to mine. It's listed at $139,900 O.o that is the highest I've seen for these condos. I think it's way too high, especially considering they still have a lot of the original fixtures from the 80's (cabinets, counters, lights, bathroom stuff, closets). I certainly couldn't have/wouldn't have bought it.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
It is better to trust my instincts. There is always a solution to a problem. If something isn't working, fix it or let it go.
What's really creepy?
Stalkers.
What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Good love stories both straight and gay (men), but that's pretty much ongoing. I'm not watching a series right now, though I just finished all of Friends. Feel no need to ever watch that again.
The last movie I fell in love with, watched over and over again, and took multiple screenshots of was the lifetime movie Beauty. And I just saw Sam Elliott shirtless in the western movie Gone to Texas from 1986, which I heartily approve of. That girl who saw it and said she was in love with another man was crazy sauce, and I will gladly tap that in her place.
Do you prefer your junk food sweet, salty or savory?
Depends on the food, I tend to grab sweet things first tho.
What websites do you always visit when you go online?
A Bad Case of the Dates, Cracked, my e-mail, facebook, comics Questionable Content, Something Positive, Ctrl Alt Del, Zits, Retail and 9 Chickweed lane, then wherever. Always on the lookout for something interesting to read, but don't have many good sources.
What was the last thing you bought?
I actually went to Burlington today wherein I found two pairs of boots, one warmish ones to go between shoes and my very heavy winter boots, and one pair of rain boots.
As a bonus my quest to find a large decorative clock to go above my fireplace was fated to end there, and I also purchased two smaller pretty things to go on either side of the clock. Alas when I got home I could not find the batteries I know to be effing somewhere, so it sits on the mantle pretty but non-functioning.
Do you get cravings? If so, what do you crave?
Junk food unfortunately, and eating out in general. I indulge in my cravings often.
Who would you say are the most important people in your life?
Parents and friends, naturally.
What was the last meal you ate?
I went to the Firetap for dinner with Amy today. I tried a philly cheesestake pizza, which was overly cheesy but very good. I thought it was odd they had it as a pizza but not a sandwich.
Do you want to learn another language?
To be honest, not really. I don't see myself being motivated to go through the effort it would take. Though I really like music in foreign languages, part of the charm is just listening to the rhythm of the words without understanding their meaning. And I've discovered after looking up the english translations of some of my favorite songs, sometimes it's better to imagine what the song means instead of actually knowing.
Five things you can't live without?
For my current pampered suburbanite life: my computer, music/my mp3 player, restaurants, shopping and my car.
What is the last song you listened to?
Something on the radio. That's all I've been listening to lately. I've gotten thoroughly sick of the current list on my mp3 player, but haven't found time to change it all out yet.
What's something that you'd like to say to someone right now?
Call me wanker.
What are you looking forward to?
Halloween. I took the next day off, three day weekend whoo.
What's something you get the most complimented on?
My lifestyle change, lately.
