Jobs
I went around town on Thursday and put a heap of résumés into places, and some online. Most of the places are looking for people, so hopefully I should start hearing from them today (and consequently go recharge my phone before it dies!).
If I remember correctly, so far I've done:
So far, the only job I hadn't applied for is the one I got. An old friend who works at Yaralla Sports Club got me an interview at Taste of China restaurant. She called at 1pm yesterday to say I had an interview at 2pm... and then they called me at 4:45pm to see if I could start 5:30pm! I don't actually know what they pay, but by the looks of it they might be doing it a bit more legally than when they were just handing my friend Mitchell $50 in hand at the end of washing dishes... haha!
Anyway, had my first 3-hour shift for the night "rush". Sunday, so there weren't many. I'm a waitress and.......... oi-yoi. Well, I'm never that great on the first night. All told, I did very well, apart from fekking up one order in two different ways - I missed a word while taking the order and had to go check it, and then a woman (who clearly said chicken) didn't want chicken in her dish.
Apart from that, I didn't drop anything and I didn't make a complete fool of myself...I don't work again until 6pm Thursday, but they're the sort who could call me in at a moment's notice. I'm really hoping Bras 'N' Things call because I'd love to work there too, and the more money the better really. I get bored so quickly at home. Already read three book in four days stopping and starting because it's killed my eyes... that and playing Minecraft in between. Need to rest them, but that would mean cleaning up, haha!
Well, anyway, that's the status and just waiting for more people to phone (please, please kind people? O_O). Seeing Skyfall on Wednesday. Heard it's amazing, but that's just the opinion of 12 different people.
