I LOVED this, for delivering not just Potter family interaction, but also for that glimpse into James and Lily's wedding - is the sight of Lily, swathed in white, trying to keep a straight, smiling face-and her temper in check- as she walked with him up the aisle, followed by a procession of toads - love it! An image that could have very easily been typical and cliche, but no... of course James wouldn't have allowed their wedding to be typical and cliche. ;)

Summary: Remus doesn’t know why Lily’s asking him for his opinion on wedding invitations.
Note: Seriously, it’s like a test to see how close I can get to the 500-word limit.

“Voilà! What do you think?”
Remus bites his bottom lip as he stares at the invitation.
Her face falls. “You hate it.”
“No, no! Not at all, it’s not that. It’s…oh dear, this is a little awkward…”

She pauses, her brow furrowing in a way that he knows James finds adorable; it’s rare to see Lily Evans (soon to ( ... )

Summary: James thinks he’s being extremely funny - and giving away very subtle hints - but Lily strongly disagrees.
WHAM.
James blinked and shifted his gaze from his half finished Transfiguration essay to the hand that had slammed down on his table mere seconds ago. More specifically: he was looking at the peach coloured piece of parchment pinned underneath that very same hand.
Ah.
Well, he’d always known that she’d catch up with him sooner or later. He leaned back in his chair, folded his hands behind his head and stared, seemingly unfazed, into the blazing, green eyes of Lily Evans.
‘What is the meaning of this?’
He looked back at the piece of parchment and ruffled his hair a bit, trying to think of a good answer.
‘You don’t like it? I wasn’t so sure about the colour myself.’
‘The colour isn’t what bothers me,’ she hissed. ‘It’s what’s on the ruddy parchment that I find problematic. Our wedding invitation? Are you insane ( ... )

‘Call me conventional...........
I’ve given you more than two years to consent. I thought that was quite the generous timeframe. ahahaha
I'm feeling rather dull now, myself, in comparison, as I wrack my brain for drabble scenarios. ; )
