I need you to be there
I need you to ask me if I'm ok
I need you to not get high
I need you to not get drunk
I need you to steady me
I need you to fight off the drama
I need you to carry me
I need you to listen
I need you to care
and I don't want to be in this maze anymore
and I don't want to be strange anymore
and I don't want to complain anymore
but I need you to understand
I need you to comprehend
I need you to write it down
when you don't get it anymore
'cause I don't want to lie anymore
and I don't want to see anymore
and I don't want to stop anymore
but I need you to stop
I need you to wait
I need you to come away from that wall
I need you to walk down those stairs
I need to hear your voice
I need you to clear the static on the phone line
'cause I can't hear you anymore
