E. Rochester and I were talking about this last night in terms of what reasons we have been given. I don't care that Betty and Neil (where on earth did you get those names from?) have decided to leave, but I do care that one of their main arguments was the "time commitment". Seriously? I mean, seriously? We take, what six or so hours to throw together a show? Yes, that's costly. Absolutely. If you haven't learned time management for six hours by now, you're going to need more than this breather to prepare for the "real world".
And the only reason that it makes me sad is that ITC is starting to really make a name for itself; I mean, we're on par with "real" organizations now, being asked by festivals to perform. That's pretty cool! So backing out isn't just letting us down, but potentially making the whole group look bad to an organizing board. Like you said, this isn't Serious Theatre, but we have responsibilities now, and if you want to go back to being responsible only to our fan club, you should say so.
Ah, whatever. I'll always have time to be silly with you, m'dear.

Heh. Betty, Neil and Lulie came from an episode of "Friends" that popped into my head when I was debating whether or not to write this entry. Phoebe sings a totally non-hypothetical song which begins, "There was a girl, let's call her Betty/ And a guy, let's call him Neil/ Now, I can't stress this point to strongly/ This story isn't real" and ends with, "Will Betty be the one who he loves truly/ Or will it be the one who we'll call... Lulie?"
I agree that it's especially aggravating since we're making a name for ourselves and actually have commitments to organizations beyond ourselves.
Anyway. Hooray for Silly Time With Us!
