Minime, Lucius. Ego pater tuus sum.

Hey, guys. I bought my very own computer yesterday! It's not set up yet, and I'm still trying to think of a good name for it. Most computers are boys, but I think mine may be a girl. I'll have to wait until it's set up to be sure, though.

Anyway, the only new thing I have to talk about is that I've found some awesome pictures of Revenge of the Sith. I can't believe I didn't know about them before. I apparently just wasn't looking hard enough, because all I had to do was conduct a simple search and there they were. If you want to get a good sense of the movie, you really have to search for Padmé pictures, because the boys all look the same except for the hair changes between movies. Padmé gets outfits. So you can tell which scene is which. For my spoiler-free friends, I am going to try to white out the text here, so that it has to be highlighted to be read, just like on real spoiler sites!

So, I read on this one site that Padmé wasn't in that much of it, but other sites said that she was, and now from these pictures I have proof that she's in seven or eight scenes, and that's a good half hour at least, which is about what I was expecting. So that site is full of crap, as I have suspected for some time. Most of the movie is supposed to focus on Ani and Obi. There are going to be some moments in this movie that aren't supposed to be funny that are totally going to be funny. Because poor Padmé is going to be visibly pregnant the whole time, and she's supposed to be tyring to hide it from the galaxy at large and the Senate in particular, so she wears these big ugly dresses. And you can still really tell, but apparently the entire Republic is blind or something. And a couple of spoilers I'm getting now indicate that she may have to actually tell Anakin. In what is being called the "Revelation scene." Hee. That's going to be hilarious. "Hey, Ani... honey... you've been gone for quite a while, and... well... guess what... You're never going to guess." :) The dresses where she's not trying to hide it are much prettier. It's all... awww. Look at Mommy kissing Daddy. Awww, Mommy's so sad. And then there's the classic scene between Padmé and Obi-Wan which, from what I've been able to gather, is going to go something like this:

Obi: "I'm sorry, but Anakin's turned to the dark side." Padmé: "Oh, snap. Well, I'm carrying his child." Obi: "Oh, snap!"

I think the movie should have been titled "Star Wars-- Episode III: Oh Snap." There are going to be some great scenes that aren't funny at all, as well. The Duel is going to be awesome. Hayden can sure look scary when he wants to.

Padmé Naberrie Amidala Skywalker (I love that that's her full name) also has this one outfit which looks a lot like Leia's Endor scouting outfit in ROTJ, from what I can tell. Her hair looks like Leia's in ROTJ as well (variations on a sticky bun). I think that's awesome. Because there are fewer pictures of it than of any other scene and because it looks like rough outdoor-wear, I think this is what she wears on Mustafar. That's the lava planet. Like her son after her, she believes that Ani can be saved, so she goes after him. Sigh. Tragedy, tragedy, tragedy. I'll dwell on the tragedy later. In this entry I just wanted to talk about the hilarity. Mostly.

movies, star wars
