Sometimes my mother can be completely irrational but sometimes...she can be HILARIOUS...especially when she doesn't know it. A quick re-cap of tonight's dinner conversation (remember to add in the thick accent for my mother):
Mom (to Hannah): Isn't there a karate place near gymnastics?
Hannah: Yeah..why?
Mom: Roya's going to start taking classes there.
Hannah/Roya: WHAT?!
Mom: That's her requirement for going into college and being on her own.
Hannah: Even if someone did attack Roya and she knew how to defend herself, it wouldn't do much good.
Mom: Then, we'll just have to buy her a bb gun.
Okay Mommy, and while we're at it why don't we just join the NRA too.
Well it looks like I'll be the next karate kid. Actually after much explanation I convinced my mother karate isn't exsactly like self defence. So at some point I'm going to start taking self defence classes. Atleast I'll be able knock down the next person who tries to rape me/steal my purse while I'm at college...sounds likely huh?
