U-uhm... has anyone seen little Lyra around? Er... not little Lyra, just Lyra, but I was wondering where she was, because I wanted to talk to her about daemons and familiars and things.

It wasn't too much longer before Engineer showed up. He still had oil stains from his sentry on him, but he felt he was presentable enough for the new friend he'd made. Besides, she wouldn't care about a little messiness to his looks, he was sure.

"Imoen?" he asked, knocking on the door.

Imoen opened the door and gave Engie a bright smile. "Engie, you came! Okay um... yeah, come in! Have a seat!"

She closed the door behind him and turned to grin at him. "Do you want anything? I've got some food..."

"O-oh yeah, water! Hold on, I'll grab some." She bounced to her kitchen and pulled out the only decent glass. Imoen poured the water from a plastic bottle, and brought it to Engineer.

Seating herself next to him, she looked rather prim; her knees together, hands folded atop them. "I... well. The song I sang? It..." She sighed. "Did you listen to the words? I... meant them for you."
