To say that Christmas this year drove me insane would be an understatement. I stayed up until 1 AM this morning finishing presents and cards and such. Then I woke up this morning to a house full of Chinese take-out, which was supposed to be a substitute to a Christmas dinner. whatever. yes, it was my idea, but I meant it as a sarcastic remark. you know, the kind that you don't expect anyone to take seriously. well, I was wrong. My grandmother came over. This is my mom's mom. She was horrible. Will got me this beautiful New York City skyline clock as a present, because he knows how much I love that city. When grandma inquired as to the significance of the gift, I explained to her how I wanted to live in NYC someday to persue my career as an actress. She didn't even let me finish before she swarmed in, bashing all my hopes, and goals. "you'll end up on the south side, living like a hobo!" she said. then she proceeded to tell me that those weren't dreams I had, but instead "worthless fantasies" that I would soon grow out of.
