I fucking love drums....
Who couldnt? They're, for lack of a better adjective, amazing... I love everything about them. I love the crack of the snare, the bellowing roll of the toms, the heart-thomping punch of the bass, the clatter of multiple metalic-sounding cymbols. Gawd. They're amazing.
Anyone want to know what my set is like...? I dont fucking care, I'll tell you anyways haha.
First off, I started with a shitty no-name brand from Media Play, called "Silvertone," and let me tell you, everything about it sucked. I quickly bought new heads and cymbols, as soon as my funds allowed. I use a 4 piece (14'' Snare, 22'' Bass, 13'' and 16'' toms"), with Evans Hydralic heads on my toms. I have an Evans EMAD dampering Bass head, and Evans (what can I say, Evans is good, bitches) hd dry snare head. My cymbols are all Zlijdian ( 14'' hi-hats, 20'' ride, 16'' medium crash, and 18'' China; they're all the ZBT starter set or whatever, but they work wonders, let me tell you). I use Vater 5B drumsticks. Dont front. I replaced all my horribly bad cymbol stand with "Pacific" I think....? I also use Pacifif PDP Double bass pedal. Did I mention my set is all setup for left-handed use..? Yeah, I'm strange, but I love it. So everything is backwards looking. :-) In my eyes, my set is almost complete. I dont plan on getting this monster set with 20 toms and millions of cymbols, no, not me. All I want is a 15'' fast crash, a 6'' splash, and maybe a tamberine and another crash. :-) So what, thats me. Okay, I lied. I need a new throne. Haha. Thats it. I love it. Go me.
