goodly said...?

you know when you haven't really slept in a long time and everything starts getting a little fuzzy and you try to speak in correct sentences but they tend to come out a little less coherent than you want them to? yeah, that's how I'm like today. case in point, after jenny shot down josh with a kick ass comeback, what did i say? "goodly said, jenny." or like during my tutoring class when i was trying to figure out how to spell musn't. I couldn't remember if it was mustn't or musn't. mustn't looked really funny, but so did musn't. just not quite as funny as mustn't did. i finally decided to ask one of the other tutors just to make sure it was musn't and not mustn't. and if it really is mustn't, god, i'm screwed.

other weird things? i somehow got put in charge of the fundraising for habitat for humanity. how this happened, i have no clue. i finally went to my first meetings yesterday. i used to be a co-chair for fundraising but because of midterm crazyness, i hadn't been able to make it to a prior meeting. well, yesterday, the other co-chair let me know that she couldn't do it at all. I feel bad about this, but at the same time, i feel like it's awesome that i'm sort of in charge. we have a bake sale, two halloween activities planned, and hopefully for january, a Yule Ball (Yes, stolen from Harry Potter. Take that, Rowlings!) anyway, i have a friend in sound and video that are more than willing to help, so i'm pretty excited.

I just want to fastforward until friday after noon. god i'm excited. ah well.

jenny and i somehow convinced ruth and her brothers and stefan to come with us to the President's Ball on friday. How I was convinced to to do this, i don't know, but apparently, I convinced the others. go me. We were also two tickets short and I came up with a brilliant idea to use the posters from the ads to be the background for the tickets (since, they pretty much are...) but luckily, we managed to pick up two extra tickets. i'm a little sad that we can't actually be more sneaky and make our own tickets. Jenny and I might still do that...

why the hell am i not studying. oh yeah, brain shut down...garh. this frustrates me.

ps. sort of cute story. we worked with mice in vertebrate lab today. they were adorable. mine jumped on me and almost got loose a couple of times. i had to catch her but she kept squirming through my fingers. adorable! anyway, we named her Gouda. A very good name for a mouse, i think. It reminded me of camp school. :)

take me to that place
that never sleeps,
where the life pours
through my veins
and keeps me going.
i want to go back.
don't leave me alone.
not like this.
