This is what my 'hood in Portland, OR has looked like the last couple of weeks. Just to clarify...this is Oregon...NOT Portland, Maine...although based on the photos you'd think that was the case....

Actually I think these kinds of extreme cold weather are also affected by global warming, no? I read that somewhere...

I'm actually at Margaret's Peet's store...couldn't make it in to MY work...but Margaret was determined so we drove through the treachery and here I am killing time. :)

SINdy!! i didn't know you were in oregon! if the weather weren't so bad i'd drive down to visit you. i'm at my parent's place in seattle until jan 2. we have about 2 feet of snow at their house. it has been snowing here all day!
