back home and I don't wanna go to work
Just a quick post to say I made it home safely. It's still a shock to my system to get on a plane when it's 50 degrees and noon and to land at six in the evening to 85 degree weather. *sigh* After the awesome weather in Seattle, the heat at home is almost overwhelming. Surely we only have a couple of weeks left of this heat.
I am still avoiding the flist because I have a whole dvr full of a weeks worth of new shows - last week's SGA, the season premiere of Heroes and The Office, new episodes of Sarah Connor Chronicles, Fringe, Supernatural, Bones, etc. I have the overwhelming desire to call in sick today so I can spend the day firmly entrenched in front of my tv. Unfortunately, I can't really justify another day off after being out all week.
In other news, I am trying to get myself writing again. I've signed up for two stories due in October, one for rounds_of_kink and one for the Fandom Free For All. Both are McShep and both are part of my systemic denial that the end is near. *sniff* I can't believe we're down to 11 episodes.
Also *face-palm* you guys have convinced me that I'm not giving Todd!slash a fair chance. So - hit me up. Point me in the direction of the Todd/whoever fic that I should be reading.
