YES!!!
We finally have a house! It wasn't our first choice, but I think it's the One. Our first choice fell through; we were outbidded on it by someone else, so bye, bye house with the massive, super-cool bathroom with fireplace in it. :-(
This house wasn't even on my list of four houses to look at either, but I added it on at the last minute. Good thing too, because three of the four houses I chose fell out for one reason or another: didn't have a garage, was under contract, the owners wanted to lease first, etc. The only house left was a disappointment: the master bathroom wasn't even completed yet! In addition, the neighbor's back yard aligns with the house's front yard, and when we showed up, they were in the backyard, installing a swing set for their small children. Uh, absolute NO GO in my book. Do not want a bunch of semen demon howler monkeys shrieking next door to me! So that house was out.
The only house left to look at was the one I added one at the last minute. Fortunately, it was empty, so we were able to go look at it. Much to my surprise, I liked it. A LOT. :-) It's a 2 story, with skylights in the living room, a large spacious kitchen (not nearly as nice as the one in TX, but still nice anyway) with a breakfast bar, a nice master bedroom, and two additional bedrooms with good closet space. It even had a nice backyard. In all, I think, I made a good choice. Even the garage has a mounted heater so the SO won't freeze his little tushie off in the harsh Wyoming winters while he works on his truck.
So, the house inspection is tomorrow, and soon, I'll have the kitties with me!!! I miss them them soo much! So excited!
