Beautiful photos. It remindsme of the Imperial Palaca Garden. It looks like it's still cold there, or just cloudy? It matches well in the pictures, the cold light makes the blossoms look even more fragile.
Cute plate, kawaii ^_^ I remember Kiyomizu dera being very crowded, not just with tourists but also hundreds of little children on a day out with school.
The temperature was ~10 C the day I took the pictures. It was a cloudy day. The air was filled with the scent of cotton candy, but was otherwise stale.
Yeah Kiyomizu dera was crowded, and so were other temples and shrines in Kyoto. I wish I could avoid the travel season and enjoy more of the tranquility and beauty of Japanese traditional culture.
Thanks! I might go Hanami one more time before the flowers gone and trees infested with nasty insects.
I haven't had the luck of seeing the famous cherry blossom rain yet. I fear that it might not be as magnificent as it's being portrayed in various anime, but still I'll keep an eye on the weather report and have my camera around and handy.
Thanks! I'm 99% recovered, just waiting for the sinus to clear itself.
