A little bit of Japan goodness

Been sick for two weeks. Two whole weeks. Not fun.

These were taken last Saturday on my way back from the dentist. The filling of a molar came out and I went for a replacement. The dentist's office is close to a famous Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) spot, and I thought it would be a waste not to take advantage of the destinated parking spot. I didn't stay long, though. I would have if I hadn't just recovered from the flu and felt drained.

Also, the dish that I painted while I was in Kyoto arrived yesterday.

I painted this at a pottery shop in the Kiyomizu Temple (清水寺) area. It's called Kiyomizu-style pottery(清水焼). The scar on Harry's forehead didn't show up, which sucks a little. But I love it muchly anyway. There's supposed to be a folding fan shop around the area where you can paint your very own folding fan, but I couldn't find it while in Kyoto.

Kyoto is a beautiful place. It's also packed with tourists. I didn't feel like being in Japan when surrounded by so many people talking in different languages.

Hopefully I'll be able to make another post later today.
