Smell My Finger

The Kroger I use has mounted anti-germ wipes for hands at the front of the store on poles for everyone to use since the flu season is about to be upon us and the swine flu is drifting this way from about 20 miles down the road a-piece. Earlier today I was there standing in line waiting to get a money order to pay rent when I happened to notice this weird guy milling around the poles where the germ wipes are mounted. Okay I was really tired and got distracted and openly stared at him. You know how you can sort of tell that there is something off about some people when you watch them for a little while? This guy set off all of my you'resonotright alarms. He was circling the poles like he was sniffing out prey. He did this repeatedly for about 5 minutes. Then, he pulled one of the wipes up a little bit from the container, rubbed on it with his fingers, smelled his fingers and then walked away only to come back a few minutes later to repeat the process. He had no groceries, no buggy or anything. Is there such a thing as an anti-germ wipe fetish?
