Chinese New Year's Eve tonight and tomorrow is the new year of the Rats. My aunty is a "rat", next year would be my year, the year of the ox!
I could even hear fireworks tonight.
Felt like Sunday tonight cos of Waitangi Day public holiday. Had a big lunch today for NYE, including my favourite braised pork on rice (肉燥飯) - and mum added bamboo shoots - another one of favourites. I can happily eat this for a week worth of lunch :P Mum also made some stew eggs (滷蛋 - whole eggs stew in soy sauce and star anise) previous night, I quite like egg and when she makes stew eggs and I know you suppose to only eat an egg a day - but I just can't help myself to not eat more than one stew eggs at a time! (But I have learned my lesson now not to eat too fast - otherwise I get the meanest hiccup in the world, super painful ones)
