I had to brush out my hair before a shower, and I find that task boring, so while doing so I watched a couple minutes of the first movie that came to hand, Brother Sun, Sister Moon. Within about a minute I was crying. lol I'm ridiculous.
But no, it's a lovely little film with moments of such poignancy and beauty that I don't even really think I'm ridiculous (I just like to say so). I cried at the part where Giocondo, with a look on his face like he was baffled at himself, put his rich fur cloak onto the sick child at San Damiano.
And beautiful
Judi Bowker plays St. Clare in this film. She was in the English Black Beauty series that used to play on Nickelodeon, and played Andromeda in Clash of the Titans. She reminds me of
medievalmuse a little bit! Something about the fine arch of her brows and the set of her eyes; something sweet in the shape of her small oval face. I can't quite pin it down.
Also, I must make a post sometime about how the awakening to class struggle has changed the way I see everything.
