More obsessive house ponderings. I think I want my decor to be a combination of styles, combining elements of all of them... Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Aesthetic (or whatever one would call avant-garde late Victorians like Morris), medieval/gothic/romantic, and also a dash of gypsy bohemian, as I have a weakness for exotic embroidered things. And Pre-Raphaelite art of course.

Pure Arts and Crafts isn't quite me, and while I can appreciate Mission style and Frank Lloyd Wright, I wouldn't want it for my house (and I don't think it fits its character). If I had a bungalow it would be one thing, and I'd honor the style and the era; but this is not.

There is a picture in a book I have (on Art Nouveau interiors) that shows just the kind of Arts and Crafts inspired room I do like. But alas, I lack a scanner.

Does anyone have home decor websites or LJ communities they like?? "Saucy Dwellings" wasn't really my style, it got too retro 50s for me, or something. Magazines? Even just images? Feel free to share, if (in the immortal words of Flight of the Conchords) that's what you're into.
